Facial Oil FAQs

What Are Facial Oils?

Discover luxury face oils to hydrate, regulate oil production and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scarring or pigmentation. If you have sensitive skin or are prone to breakouts, rosehip oil can soothe irritation and promote healing.

Or if you don’t like the look or feel of using a face oil during the day, use a night face oil, a few drops will absorb into your skin overnight while you sleep, providing your skin with intense moisture packed with antioxidant protection. Name a more decadent, luxurious skin-care product than a facial oil — we’ll wait.

Whether your face oil is concocted from a base of rosehip oil, marula oil, argan oil, hazelnut oils, or coconut oil (among many others), nothing feels more moisturizing and restorative than face oil.

Rich oils are suitable for most skin types — yes, even if you have combination skin or oily skin and you’re prone to acne — incorporating a face oil into your daily skin-care routine is one of the best things you can do for your complexion.

In the short term, you can expect an off-the-charts level of radiant glow. And with continued use? Healthy, plump, and happier skin. Your Face oil can help reduce hormonal breakouts, heal sun damage, revitalize dull skin and give you an instant glow.

What Facial Oil Is Best For Sensitive Skin?

There’s a world of options when it comes to face oils, meaning there’s something for every skin type: acne-prone, oily skin, and dry. Face oils aren’t like other types of moisturizers, like creams and lotions. Your face oil can be geared to work for your particular skin type.

Despite how they’re sometimes named or marketed, they don’t hydrate — but because they stay on the surface of the skin, they help seal in the hydration and ingredients of anything else you’ve already applied. When it comes to finding the right face oil for sensitive skin types, you need to know if you have dry skin or acne-prone skin, this will affect how you choose your face oil.

What Face Oil Should I Buy?

Flaunt a youthful glow with our Soothing range. When choosing a face oil, many opt for a brand offering rose oil and evening primrose. Our Face oil contains decadent ingredients like Myrrh, Sweet Almond and Ylang Ylang extract, leaving your skin type glowing with omega acids. The best way to find out which face oil is best for you, is to discover your dosha.

Are Face Oils Essential Oils?

Essential oil is the distilled essence of a plant; e.g. lavender, orange, chamomile, rose, etc. A facial oil consists of carrier oils, like avocado, grapeseed, jojoba, etc. and essential oils or extracts. Facial oils can also be made with additional ingredients, like hyaluronic acid, additional vitamins and Omega fatty acids.

Face oils are meant to be used as it is – undiluted – for best results. Essential oils are derived through the distillation of plant parts (heating to separate the vapor part of the plant extracts). This could come from roots, stems, leaves and fruits.

The best face oils have a high concentration of oils for every skin type, when applied topically, it absorbs quickly and is a radiance-boosting skin product. Your face oil will help rejuvenate tired skin with its naturally cold-pressed botanical oils.

Are Face Oils Good For Oily Skin?

When it comes to choosing a face oil for different skin types, those prone to having an oily skin type may want to avoid face oils, out of fear of exacerbating the oiliness of their skin.

But, fear not, oil is an excellent way of restoring balance to your skin barrier, the best facial oils have active ingredients like rosehip oil, argan oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, avocado oils, grape seed oil and black cumin seed oil.

These contain nutrients like vitamin C and vitamin E which nourish your skin, brighten skin and leave you with naturally glowing skin. A face oil does not make your face oily, no matter your skin type.

We cannot stress this last point enough. Your face oil is not going to cause your skin to become oilier, quite the opposite in fact. If you have an oily skin type, your face oil will have active ingredients that reduce excess oil production and give your skin a healthy glow.

A few drops of our Soothing Face Oil are packed with lemon extracts rich in Vitamin C, which has protective benefits for your skin’s sebum.
